why use icts for literacy learning?
At Sunnyside Primary School we integrate Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) into our literacy learning program. We do this for many reasons and will explore a number of them here.
As parents of Prep and Year 1 students, you're probably thinking 'Why is there such a big focus on computers and not reading and writing?' This is a valid question, but have you ever stopped to consider what children think they should be learning about and how they should be learning it?

Careful consideration and planning has allowed us to implement a high quality, engaging literacy program, that incorporates ICTs, to help your child become highly literate people in the 21st century.
